Rowley’s three-medal haul at the Junior Worlds in Switzerland including the keirin world title, saw him named overall junior cyclist of the year while also claiming the junior male track cyclist of the year award.
"It’s a big honour for me and it gives me a lot of confidence moving forward, but its not the end goal." said Rowley. "I’ve still got to keep perspective and although it’s a huge achievement for juniors, my main goal is trying to make it as a senior and to reach my dream of going to the Olympics."
"It is going to be hard to see where I'll be next year as it will be my first senior season but in my first year I'm really hoping for top eight and if I can improve on my PBs we can see where we go from there."
